Saw it last night.
It was funny on the way in I was telling my buddies how I have been Downtown every weekend yet haven't had a Shawarma from Bucharest in a while so I was due. So the stuff at the end and after the credits was funny.
Hulk was awesome and the movie was great. This is coming from someone who never followed comic books, or the story lines. I'm also someone he gets bored easily during 2.5 hour movies. Very impressive.
Thor is a bish, Iron man forever
Aroldis Chapman 4 life
Just went to the theater and watched this by myself... Literally...
I pondered pulling a Pee Wee Herman...
Also, when the aliens came... I couldn't help but think of the locusts in Gears Of War.
...and who was the dude at the end?
Ok, so probably part of the reason is because I waited so long to see it (saw it like 2 weeks ago), so I had to listen to weeks of people talk about how incredible it was, but I don't think it lived up to the hype.
It was entertaining, don't get me wrong... But I wasn't a fan of all forced (IMO) humor at all.
Also, I don't get how Banner has never been able to control the hulk for a long time (years? decades? I forget the time frame since Ed Norton's Hulk came out), and then all of a sudden he's 100% in full control... I guess I have to accept AC's explanation that Banner just wasn't trying before, but I guess that's not logical enough to me (why not?)
He's a scientist that got gamma poisoning who turns into an immeasurably powerful giant green monster when he's angry, partnered with a God and an 80 year old super soldier who prevented a man with alien technology from winning WW2 for the Nazis.
But you're having trouble accepting that his ability to control the change is erratic.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.
lol when you put it that way....
I guess I just don't like the buildup of him having NO control whatsoever and them magically he was in FULL control - like there was no in-between battle, no "event" that brought on that change, it was just totally random. Like perhaps if Stark made up some crazy thing for him or SHIELD had something for him and THAT was how Banner was able to control it, I guess it would make more sense...
If you watched the end of Nortons Hulk movie there was an implication that he was developing a bit of control. There were really only two times he has been prepared for the Hulk. Once when he fought Abomination and once at the end of Avengers. Both times he wanted the changed and did things to bring it on himself.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.
