Oh but you meant Thanos, I think its perfect and you have to have someone on his power level to face them considering Thor and Hulk can take on almost all comers anyway.

I figured that was the case. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. It seemed a little weird though.

I interpreted it that when he wasn't in control of the circumstances Hulk took over, he wasn't trying to change the first time. But when he wanted to change and was in control of when to change then Banner maintained a bit of control.
