Obviously, this choice all depends on whether Manning plays or not. If Collins plays go with him, if not go with Cam. You really don't want to start a rookie QB making his first start but you won't have a choice if Manning plays.

For sure.. I'm really only asking based on the assumption that both are playing.. Newton could end up running for 75 yards, throwing for 160 yards.. 1 TD running, 1 throwing, 1 INT.. that would be equal to Collins going for 225 yards in the air and 2 TDs in the air.. about equal.. I'm not sold on ARZ defense.. which is what Newton is facing.. but Houston is ranked as one of the worst defenses in NFL.

5 offensive keepers.. we start 15 players each week (8 offensive, 7 defensive) and bench is only 6 players..

why didnt you keep campbell? he sucks but he's certainly better than the alternative of cam newton as your starting qb all season.

How many years has this league been going? How did you get stuck with such crappy QBs?

12th year.. I had Kurt Warner for a number of years.. I had Bulger as a hand cuff and when Warner lost his starting job in NY, I went with Bulger... when Bulger fell off I had Leftwich, he got hurt too.. I swung a trade for Farve when he went to NYJ and kind of nursed along with him while I waited for a string of QBs to develop.. Brady Quinn, John Beck, Jason Campbell.. none did.. and once you can't red shirt a guy anymore.. you don't keep a 26th qb over two top 10 wrs or rbs.. I am lucky to have Gates at TE.. he scores like a WR, the fall off for TEs is huge.. more so then what you make up between a 16 qb vs a 24 qb.

So Farve retired, I wasn't even sure if Campbell was going to start in Oakland.. so I kept 2rb, 2wr, 1te as my keepers.. rolled the dice on getting bottom rung qb.. I could have had kyle orton, but took Newton instead. the long range upside was just too much in a dynasty league.. I am red shirting Kaepernick as a project.

But you should've been able to keep Campbell and still get Newton. Campbell should start all year in OAK barring injury. Would've been a nice bridge to allow you to find out what you have in Cam. Anyway that's neither here nor there now.
