Word is that Jamal Lyles will be playing hooky from SMSB today for a meeting in EL with coaches. Some are expecting an offer, and maybe even a commitment.

Did tctc tell you that? If not, I wouldn't count on it happening.

He actually ended up there this morning, but left for EL before the afternoon session. This is per Rico Beard who is at the event and spoke to Lyles this morning. I have no idea about a commitment, but I don't think the coaches would have him up there if they weren't going to offer.

btw, I have no idea what tctc is.

Is that some type of MSU/Dantonio thing, where he has to have you leave a camp and come up to campus, in order to get an offer? Couldn't they have just offered him at the SMSB event, I am sure MD and other MSU coaches were there, right?

Beiliein does this for basketball and Carr was known to do it, too.

U-M did it under Rodriguez for select prospects as well.

I want to say yes, but I have no idea about the details. Maybe he wanted to meet with the family. Maybe its the only time the coaches could do it. Who knows.
