His ACT scores actually weren't that bad considering, but unless you are 4 pointing everything, one year of giving a crap about school just isn't enough to make up for the last 3. If anyone has failed one class, they know how long it takes, and how difficult it is, to get your GPA back to where it was.
I agree and that's what I've also heard, that he's a very smart kid but his focus was just on football. I think, hope that once he gets to college, regardless if he has to go the junior path first, that he understands what he has and how fast it be pulled away.

If he was very smart the ACT wouldn't be an issue would it? It's almost always a combo of a kid that's not that bright and poorly motivated, right?
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.

Pretty much. Maybe he has a "learn disability regarding his ability to read."

The ACT itself isn't his issue. The issue is that he needs an exceedingly high score on it to offset his rotten GPA. From what I've heard, his test scores would be considered pretty solid under any normal circumstance.

My roommate fresman year at Western had a 3.9 at Benedictine and something like a 15 on the ACT. When he got to college, he had a 3.4 while working 40 hrs/week at Target, taking a normal pre-business case load. Some people don't take standardized tests well.

Signed me. I think I got a 22 my ACT but had problem in college at all keeping a high GPA. I never did well on standardized test but ask me to discuss a subject or write a paper on it and I would do great.

    ouch,

I was relegated to western after a 29 on my ACT because I tanked my Junior and Senior year (getting to class especially in a timely matter was a problem for me, and Northville doesnt play when it comes to Tardiness) and ended with a 2.7 GPA

he must be insanely dumb to be a FB star at harrison and have a low GPA. I think Stanton got a 4.0 and he and agim shabaj were two of the dumbest people I have ever encountered (in highschool) Drew actually got semi-intelligent in his later years, and still ripped through harrison courtesy of harrington.

or harrington doesn't have the pull he used to, which is doubtful.

and I am not saying that to bash this kid, but Agim could barley speak coherently and he had no problem qualifying.
