According to Balas that if he gets the grades up Michigan will be right there in the mix and Michigan is picking up a lot of steam.
MCJ, I don’t have beef with you. It’s more the people arguing with you, sounding as though they could actually verify it one way or the other. When this discussion first started, I thought back to the early 90s when Roy Granger transferred from DePorres to FHH. They always said Roy had world class speed but was one of the dumbest bastards of all time who would have no shot at playing in college. I was going to ask if you were around the program back then but I figured I would just be feeding the fire.
That is nuts. After reading this second post, it's possible everybody arguing with you did actually see his grades. He probably tweeted a picture of his report card. You better make sure your info is still accurate. His ACT is probably on his facebook right now.
BH, thanks for the clarification though I didn't think you were speaking about me directly, your post did give me pause. I didn't feel bad posting about Funchess and Ojemudia because I know both kids were decent students, and I've known Devin since he was in kindergarten (even back then freakishly big hands and feet, polite as hell, too). Mario I don't know nowhere near as well, but again, good student. Aaron I only got to know when he played with my son and not very well. But still, reading your comment reminded me that these are high school kids, and it's sad that people (me included) sometimes speak of them like they're mere commodities. My own daughter is going to be going to college and swimming (somewhere), hopefully on a good partial-to-full scholarship, and I know it sands me to know her ACT score and GPA affecting where she might go and how much it will affect the $$$ amount. It's a tad different only in that she's not in a money sport, but the money sports give her the opportunity to even swim at all.
I moved to FH in 1996 so I wasn't involved at Harrison until my son was preparing to go to school there.
So all that said, here's my take: the truth is probably like most rumors, somewhere in the middle. He probably has pretty bad grades and a lousy ACT but nothing insurmountable. And yes, in this day and age, the kids do some dumb things, and immature things as well. Hopefully AB didn't send out any photos of his scores. And I hope he turns it around and gets to one of our state schools and just lights it up.

And not to sh!t in Sparty's cheerios, but it sounds like Burbridge had a nice time at Michigan. Going to get his mom to come back to Michigan with him... (MSU/UM head 2 head)
Sounds like, in the end, Michigan will get the FHH 3 (assuming he qualifies).
