Default Welcome to the SportsInferno.com Recruiting Forum

The World of recruiting is constantly changing and evolving, and the way it's covered here at SportsInferno.com is evolving also, so consider this the formal introduction to the Recruiting forum.

While it might not be an easy transition, please bear with us as we try to make the forum as beneficial as can be.

What we have done is split the 2012 recruiting thread up into the separate topics that were covered in there. In the future, if there's a topic that has already has a dedicated thread, please contribute to the discussion that is ongoing in there. If not, please make a new topic- no more worries about "cluttering up the board" - The idea is to give recruiting the "space" it deserves.

As always, feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Good idea Raj. Nice work. Although I think helpful ratings would be helpful.

I'll be the first to admit, I don't know that much about recruiting and I don't follow this stuff that closely.. BUT I know that there are those that do and it's a big deal, so I'd like to see what you guys, the recruiting experts of SI, think about this setup... It's pretty fluid, we can change how things are broken up if that what people want... I just thought this way (a thread for each recruit, essentially) makes the most sense.

Also, the other thing is so far this forum ONLY consists of 2012 Football recruits...I'm going to have to figure out the best way to integrate basketball recruiting and future year recruiting into this.. My initial thought is to use Thread Prefixes.. ex: "2012 football" "2013 football" "2012 basketball" "2013 basketball" and things like that.. That way if someone wants to see those it's an easy click, no messing with the search function or anything like that

    Good idea, raj.

recruiting is Tommyz life, almost as much as his love of Mariah Carey.

This should be a pay forum. All of us insiders could split the revenue. We'll be ****ing rich.

Thanks for doing this, but it is going to become a mess if every local prospect is giving their own thread

Is this a new term I'm unaware of?

I'll defer on the mechanics because I don't really do anything in recruiting threads other than make jokes about Beaver.

It will be more confusing to the people who actually give updates, because they'll have to search out the recruit first and then post info.

We will see how it all plays out. But at this point Michigan has offered 73 prospects, then add in local prospects, plus the offers to MSU prospects and if every one is a separate thread, this is going to be a mess very fast

I agree with a separate place for recruiting, just think we need to be wise about what recruits get a thread to themselves

I doubt most of the threads will be very active though. Just occasionally popping back up when there is news. I'm trying to think of a better way and I can't come up with something. I guess you could have a thread per school, per year, but then you are back into the megas really.
