May be a UM Forum with a Recruiting subset forum, same for MSU
I think it should only be for recruits that MSU/UM are going after. That's all we really care about imo. There won't be too much clutter
Having the same set up for each thread would look a lot better. Most of those threads just start out of nowhere. Just having his basic info in the thread is all that is needed IMO. Just my 2 cents.
Sorry about the other thread I started, didn't see this one

Any kid from Detroit that is decent is going to be considering MSU/UM. Heck, all the top 15-20 players in the state will probably have interest in MSU/UM. Outside of that, nobody cares about 2 star Joe Blow going to Grand Valley State, Alma, Western, Centeral or Eastern Michigan

Okay, then they can start a thread on the kid if they want. All I'm saying is that the majority of the people here only care about kids going/have offers from MSU or UM. Hence the fact, that kids going to MAC schools rarely get mentioned in the recruiting thread from last year.

Im personally not a big fan of starting new threads for out of state kids unless they commit...
"People who drink light "beer" don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee a lot."
eh, if a thread is started and there's not that much interest it'll just get buried by newer/more popular threads.. no harm, no foul - I say if someone's motivated enough to make a thread about a kid, let them.. The worst that'll happen is nobody responds and it get buried.
Maybe as a courtesy just try to limit the number of threads each person makes a day to like 5 or something? Not that it's against the rules or anything like that, just so it doesn't get too out of hand - ex: someone could come in and make 500 threads about random players, that might defeat the purpose of the forum...
