I have been encouraged with the signings this year so far.
Dear micmac, If you see me behind you then you're already dead. Respectfully, My car- Mike V
The big need for this class remains to be a star WR and DB if you ask me. Perhaps they think Funchess or Thompson can be that, I know that Thompson is very highly thought of by this staff. The need for defensive backs continues, though, and that seems to be the one position I just don't see them having many options right now.
Its good to think about, but a potential class of:
OT Ben Braden
OG Caleb Stacey
LB Royce Jenkins-Stone
LB Kaleb Ringer
TE/OT AJ Williams
TE/WR Devin Funchess
TE/WR Ron Thompson
OT Jordan Diamond
DT Sheldon Day
DT/DE Matthew Godin
DE/OLB Mario Ojemudia
LB James Ross
DE/DT Chris Wormley
LB Joe Bolden
To me... that is a class of 14 that is about 10 guys with the possibility of four stars with probably another 6-7 guys to still add. And it is very realistic, too. Add a quarterback, a receiver, 3-4 corners/safeties, 2 more OL -- there's a class of 21 that seems like a possibility
I was just listing people I thought have a >50% chance of ending up at Michigan in my eyes. As of right now I don't think thats the case with O'Brien so I excluded him.
is Elida (OH) QB Reggie McAdams getting recruited by the new staff? I know RichRod was interested while he still was in A2, but is Hoke and staff interested in him too? I guess he's like a Gardner clone (from what my buddy down in Elida says), so he'd be able to fit into any offense

Reggie McAdams might be a better basketball player than football player. I don't think Michigan is recruiting him.
And on O'Brien the reasoning is that Tennessee's biggest lead for him was probably a couple months ago when Michigan fired RR and had no coach. Ever since then I think their lead has been narrowing. Adding Godin potentially being a Wolverine and I think you've got even more momentum towards Michigan in that recruitment.
