And, I've already said that the NFL will announce a punishment after the season is over. Some sort of fine or make him attend a "workplace rule" workshop or something like that.

There would be nothing to revisit if the investigation was over. I don't know how you can be so convinced the NFL would protect Favre when he's at the end of his career, but the NBA wouldn't protect MJ in his prime. Especially if you take into account the 24 hour media coverage of today, when everything is out in the open.

I'm saying the NBA did protect MJ. They allowed him to "retire" and come back with no more mention of the investigation. Just like by saying that Favre was "injured" last week the NFL protected Favre. If you believe that everything is out in the open then we are wasting each other's time in discussing this further.

Alright, now I'm confused dude and I didn't mean things don't happen behind closed doors nowadays, just that it was easier to get away with something like that 15-20 years ago compared to media scrutiny of today.

Listen there is no way that the NBA would just drop the investigation when MJ retired and then just allow him to come back later like nothing ever happened.
