So the league is just not going to come to a conclusion on the matter publicly? Just act like it never happened?

Her attorney/spokeperson is on record saying she would not proceed with court proceedings if there was a suspension. They were also record as saying that they felt the NFL was dragging the investigation on and that they were worried that Favre would retire before punishment is handed down. Next thing you know the investigation ended somewhat abruptly early last week after dragging. Favre who as played through everything now all of sudden can't play but a week later he is magically healed?

What would be the point in the NFL not making this public? It makes them look like they didn't do anything? I guess I don't get this angle at all.

Well there are plenty that think he shouldn't be suspended at all but for the NFL to have to end this ballyhooed streak because of this would be bad for everyone involved. Not to mention you get to see all of those fluff pieces last week about how great Favre and his streak was. They aren't doing that if it es because he is suspended for sending pics of his dick to some chick.

The NFL takes care of "their" guys just like all other sports leagues do. And make no mistake Favre is "their" guy.

Isn't it expected that the league was going to issue a ruling on this? Are they going to just say no punishment?
