BTW, we keep 2 keepers: 1 player drafted in rounds 1-4, and 1 player drafted the rest of the way or through FA.
So you would give up a keeper for a player that you wouldn't keep on a prayer that Matthews will prove himself keep-able in the next 8 weeks despite showing absolutely nothing to lead you to believe he will?

I will admit AJ is the better prospect for the rest of the season but is he that much better? I say no.

Honestly there is no sense in getting Johnson if you aren't going to keep him IMO. Not to mention who will you trust at RB for the rest of the season after Hillis? Do you only play one RB?

He's got LeSean McCoy too. Running him and Hillis every week isn't bad. Right now if its a standard 2 RB start, then he's got 3 guys and only 2 spots to start, so I would be looking to move one of them for a top tier WR.

My bad, I forgot about McCoy. Ok RB would be covered for this season. Are there flex positions? What is the weekly lineup?

standard positions (qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex, te) - right now pending bye weeks I go like this

    Flacco
    MJD
    McCoy
    Hillis
    Marshall
    Percy Harvin
    Keller

    bench:
    Orton
    Matthews
    Felix Jones
    Pierre Garcon
    Johnny Knox
    Winslow

I'm just worried about the rest of this season at RB to play 3 each week.

So you would get to pair AJ with Marshall but then you would have to run a 3WR @ flex. I personally would rather run a 3rd RB and Matthews and Jones aren't dependable enough for my tastes. You do have a sleeper in Garcon though who will probably be huge with all of the injuries the Colts are having. Eh, I don't know that the deal would be a huge step forward but it won't be a step back.

I still don't like getting Johnson with the intent of keeping Matthews or anyone on that roster over him.

I would make the trade. And yes AJ is the only keep-able player you have after McCoy outside of Marshall.

And I would keep him over Marshall at this point.

I don't think I'd make the trade knowing you have the flex position. I think your better running with the 3 RB's.
