Yeah, I didn't end up offering it. I just am not high on Jackson- I only took him because he unexpectedly fell to me. I really think Foster ends up as a top 12 RB this year. The more I look at my RBs, the more I feel like I am going to be playing roulette all year trying to figure out who to start every week. I could probably get better value for Jackson though. Thanks to everyone for the replies.
Me either, plus Jackson had so many long TDs last year (I think he broke some records), it is unlikely that happens again. I can see him being a Lee Evans/Sanatan Moss type that relies too much on the long TD and thus can have a season with 1000 and 10, followed by a season of 1000 and 2.
Also, I don't feel crazy anymore about offering the Foster-Jackson deal. I talked to 2 guys from a fantasy football message board and they both drafted last night, said Foster went 16th overall and 23rd overall respectively in their drafts- both before DJackson.
Also, Desean Jackson has a back problem, and Michael Bush has a broken thumb. Both are expected to be available for the opener, but with these injuries, you just never know.
"the world will know soon enough if Millen in fact acted alone."
That is more because he was featured on the front page of Yahoo fantasy the last couple of days. I don't see him blowing up like that. HOU is still a passing team first and they still also have Slaton who will at the very least take some of Foster's carries at most he still could start.
Last year there running game was a mess, but the year before Slaton was the feature back and was a top 7 fantasy back. Also, the staff really doesn't seem too high on Slaton- combine that with his fumbling issues and his turf toe and I'm not sure he is anything more than a 3rd down back.
