Pep Spice

I'm not a drug user (mostly because it's illegal and risks outweigh the benefits right now), but this stuff is legal and I've heard the effect is nearly that of marijuana.

It cost a bunch, like $60 for 3 grams. I know we have some users on this board and smokers too. So what's the lowdown on this stuff? Is it worth it? What kind of high can you expect?

Spice is banned by some U.S. military commands, where the potential for its abuse has been recognized. Research has linked naturally produced marijuana to health issues, including schizophrenia. With synthetic marijuana being even more potent, it is frightening to consider its potential damage.
K2 can cause increased heart rate, loss of consciousness, paranoia, hallucinations and psychotic episodes. Users report that smoking small amounts results in intense highs comparable to smoking large amounts of marijuana.
Studies in 2008 revealed that users developed chemical dependencies, withdrawal and addictive behaviors. Increasing numbers of children are purchasing synthetic marijuana products because they are legal and easier to obtain than cigarettes.
Because of the various chemicals being used, these substances are difficult to regulate. But the DEA is determining whether some or all of these products need to be controlled. More research is definitely needed. With young people using K2 more, some states are not waiting for the DEA and are moving to ban it.

I cant find it now but im fairly sure ive read in the past people have gotten heart problems from smoking this and died on the spot.

A new product knocked a teenager from Polk County unconscious for five hours but those who sell it say it's mild and safe. K2 is supposed to produce a high similar to marijuana, but the teen we talked to got more than he bargained for.

Then his family got the scary phone call. Tyler had vomited, suffered seizures, and even quit breathing.
"The EMTs had dragged him out of this house on a gurney," said James Hartman, Tyler's father.
Tyler spent the night in ICU and remained unconscious for five hours, while his family waited and worried.
"They did blood work, and they done a drug test, and everything came back negative," said James.
Thankfully, he came out of it.

I hear peanuts are also unsafe.

Sure for some people who are predisposed to a reaction it will have unintended effects, however no research based claims (to my knowledge) have been made regarding its significant health dangers.

I do agree it should be outlawed since marijuana is illegal, and this has nearly identical effects..

loss of consciousness and seizures sound like pretty serious side effects to me. if that is your reasoning that these reactions only happen to some people then hell...why not make heroin legal too? not everyone who uses it gets addicted or dies. there are plenty of people who use a small amount every now and then and can go through life just fine.

last I heard marijuana doesnt have the ability to cause seizures or unconsciousness.

I dont think this is the same as the K2 stuff. It appears that K2 is not meant to be ingested (at least thats what I got from that article), whereas Pep Spice is an actual tobacco product.

I cant believe Diddy or Dia dont know about this stuff.

Yeah Im talking K2, I dont know anything about Spice.

you're right I think it is a different thing. I thought it was the same thing because one of the street names for k2 is "spice"
