What college football games have you been watching? You think that Vince Young is in a class about Leinhart? I can see if you like Drew over Chad, but you are shooting holes in your whole statement when you say that Young is better then Leinhart?

Refer back to any Oklahoma game Young played in and any National Championship game Leinhart played in

Youre probably right I shouldnt have entered into this conversation.

But yes, I think Young is better than Leinhart. Alot better.

Maybe its my bias for running QBs. Maybe. But that USC team would have dominated with or without Leinhart. Would Texas be as good without Young? No.

    So, by your logic here:

Refer back to any Oklahoma game Young played in and any National Championship game Leinhart played in
Are you saying Tom Brady is a better quarterback than Peyton Manning just because he has won championships and Peyton hasnt?

Thank you. No, I really am not bitter. the way you came off in response to my intitial post pissed me off.

I make it a point to not attack people (even people I dont know on a net forum). I will disagree and point out what I believe to be flaws in their argument, but not attack them.

IMO, calling someones opinion BS is attacking them. If this forum dealt with topics I have more knowledge in, I would post more therefore you would know that.

But, I understand its college football season....the most contrived and convaluted gambling ring the world has ever known. Why do you think the NCAA wont have a playoff format? Just a thought.

At this stage, Stanton is better than Young. Young couldn't throw the ball to an 8 foot brick wall.
    I can't stand these things.

[QUOTE=JackTalkThai]I disagree. Both quarterbacks could successfully play in the other's system and they would do just fine. Henne is a lot like Jeff Smoker. Good, strong, accurate arm...and not exactly fleet of foot. Smoker did just fine in John L's system. And Stanton doesn't -have- to run, he just does it so **** well it would be foolish for MSU not to take advantage of it in the spread offense. But he has a real nice arm as well and can throw the forty yard bomb with great accuracy as well as the intermediate routes. He could thrive IMO in Michigan's system even if it didn't take full advantage of his repeto

There is one major thing your leaving out, smoker was not a sophmore in john L's system, henne would be. And your key word is, spread offense or no protection for a sophmore would be terrible. He would not be even close to effective as stanton would be in michigans system. But don't misinterpret me, henne could be better at the end of the year, or next season. Right now stanton is the better qb.

Now you're getting carried away. Vince Young can't throw, but he has Vick-like running ability. Young is better than Stanton. Stanton probably has the better arm but Young is amazing.

But....but....but....Chad Henne was ranked so high out of high school.

Does it surprise anyone that in the first big game that Chad Henne has to play in without Braylon Edwards, that he crumbles?

Oh and....Steve Breaston = Eddie Drummond. Neither is a wide receiver.

Henne was exposed. No Top-5 NFL talent to bail him out.

agree...young doesnt have to throw much. YOung is at Vick like levels of athleticism...Drew is not.

Is this thread even a debate anymore?

I was soooooo pissed after Saturday. Seems the pocket passer doesnt work in college unless the QB possesses supreme talent (Lienhart to an extent).

Thats what I was trying to say earlier in this thread. Its not that Henne sucks, its just that in college, mobility is MANDATORY not an option.

Michigan was taken apart piece by broken piece. Ranked #3....Pfffffffft...

On the other hand, MSU looked unstoppable on offense. Because of Stanton. Sorry UM fans, hes waaaaaaaaay better than Henne.

I *think* MSU will win on Saturday. *IF* they do, UM is in for a disappointing season. I am not ready to declare MSU better than UM.....yet. Regardless, I think UM is in for 4-5 losses this year and that pisses me off to no end for reasons I stated in other posts.
