I tend to agree with those who say that don't quite understand the point in it's current form. It's basically a large version of the iPod touch with a 3G option, no camera and more computing power but still short of what most people expect from a tablet computer.
I'd describe it as sort of a tablet computer lite. I guess if I didn't have an iPhone or a laptop/netbook/tablet computer and wanted a portable media player / eBook reader / laptop lite kind of device that lets you browse the web, read and write e-mails, organize your information, and run some apps and games etc without the full blown computing experience then I'd be on board. I've got both an iPhone and a laptop however, so a device like this isn't for me just yet.
That being said, if in a future version they offer multitasking, a camera, one or more USB ports so you can attach a mouse and open up the OS a bit more to make it more like a laptop / netbook / tablet PC and less like an iPod touch with a bigger screen I could see myself buying one to use on those trips where you don't quite need a full blown laptop but still need something that lets you get some work done.
I agree that this won't work, but I don't get the lack of camera complaint. Would people really want to take pictures with something this big? Seems like that would be ridiculous.

"We react to war in this way because everyone has a right to his own life, because war puts an end to human lives that are full of hope, because it brings individual men into humiliating situations, because it compels them against their will to murder other men, and because it destroys precious material objects which have been produced by labors of humanity". Anyone getting one tomorrow? I plan on going to check it out but hopefully won't buy one yet.
