I would be bragging if I rented right now. At least that way, I would know I wouldn’t be one of those clowns (like me currently) who has a house worth over $120K less than what I paid for it 3 years ago.
I live in a new subdivision in Ypsi Twp. The house I mentioned in the post above that has the Dalmatian yard is about the same size as mine and had to have sold for about $260-$270K. My wife would know for sure. Last year that house foreclosed and sold for $135K. I have been in my house for three years. That house was built after mine. There is no way around the ridiculously low home values.
OK....I am getting sick and tired of these fire pits.
I have a neighbor two doors down, that has a fire every single night. I can see doing it on a Friday or Saturday night, but they literally do it every night. They were even doing it while the Wings were in the WCF and SCF's, and I thought "go indoors and watch the fricken game".
The smoke wafts into my house, where I can hardly leave my windows open. One of these days I will just turn the AC on, but it sucks because on a mild evening, I cannot have my windows open.
My neighbors suck in my apartment complex, which is why I'm now moving next month. To a place with a private entry so I don't share a hall with disresepctful ****s.

Wish I was that lucky. 2 are nice. Me and another neighbor have complained but they never do anything. Plus their cooking is my god awful, so the point where you have to plug your nose walking out, otherwise you dry heave. An sometimes is so bad, it lurks into my apartment.. and i'm forced to leave for the day. They let their kids run around knocking on doors, yelling and crying in the hallway. Can't wait to get outta this place.
There is 8 apartments, 7 are taken... 2 we have issues with.. and 3 are moving including myself because of the 2.

we bought our house about 5 years ago when it was a sellers market and there weren't many houses available in the area we were looking. we bought a house that didn't have a garage. we can't put one in because the neighbor's fence is too close too the house and there isn't enough room to get a car past the house. we had a verbal agreement with the neighbors to buy 2 feet of their property and move the fence, but then they sold their house and decided to leave it up to the new owner. we asked the new owner and he said no, reason being, "he just doesn't want to", even though we've offered him double the property value and will cover the entire cost of moving the fence. he says he doesn't want his property value to do down, even though his yard has become overgrown, he ripped out the landscaping 2 years ago and hasn't replace it, and his roof is falling apart. his house has become that "scary house." we put our house up for sale last year, and it show's very well, and is very nicely updated...it's far better than most other houses in our price range, but the garage thing keeps people from making offers. we've had a couple contingent on us getting that fence moved, but our neighbor won't budge. we kept having the drop the price (we pulled it from the market for now). there's no telling how much money he is essentially taking out of our pockets. $20,000? $30,000? i guess we'll see what we eventually sell the house for. i guess it's his property and he can do what he wants, but i still want to put my spartan education to use and torch his car.
