    Default Random thoughts on sports...

Don't know if there already is one thought this would be a good thread for quick sports rants, that don't need a whole new thread.

My inaugural rant. Why don't CBS just stay with the steelers v bengals game. The charges contest sucks and they are having power issues. Just stay with the stable game (and the one My fantasy QB is playing in.)

because its the number 1 game at 1, i would much rather watch this game then any other games on CBS

think about it, 4-1 Buffalo vs 3-3 San Diego, Buffalo is trying to prove they are for real, ect, ect
That rug really tied the room together.

Ehh As I said I have a stronger rooting interest in the stealers. I do see your point.

<-- Not been impressed with Brian Kelly this year.

People say "When are some big programs going to consider this guy?"

Cincinnati's defense has gotten so much worse this year with him at the helm. Not to mention that he is probably one of the biggest douchebags in the coaching profession. He makes Urban Meyer look like Mother Theresa.

He's paid to coach, not to be a "good guy." He's been like that his entire career and has gotten this far.

As far as defense getting worse...I would have to attribute that to playing better competition towards the end of the year. BK's defenses are notorious for being very fast and physical, not necessarily the most disciplined. Besides, they're not getting worse. They actually seem to be pretty consistent. Yes, you have the 40-points given up to Connecticut, and the 52 to Oklahoma was to be expected...but besides those games the defense has given up 7, 20, 15, 10, 10, 10, and 23 points. I would be more disappointed in the offense because it's not anywhere close to last season...but I'll give him a pass based on the FUBAR of a QB situation he had this year.

Lastly...how can you not be impressed with him? He has done more now at his last three schools that anyone else currently in D-1A football has done with their own last three schools. He took each of them from average to GREAT...when you do it once, it can be considered a fluke, when you do it twice, it can be considered lucky...but when you're doing it three different times with consistency, there's something to it.

Soooo, I'm rummaging through drawers of empty desks in my office and I find a ticket stub from the 97 UM/OSU game. It's got Chuck on it, with the heisman in the foreground and the thorpe award in the back. What should I do with it?
