WTF is up with Dennis Eckersley's hair? I mean, the guy banked a ton of money as a player, and probably does decently as a commentator for TBS. Can SOMEONE not tell him how horrible his hair is? It's redonkulous.

Teams are bigger in soccer , 22 players on the field at a time. More young minds to poison
The information age has made international sports more accessible.
The disparity between rich and poor has made cheap games more attractive.
Hockey is regional and has a high cost for entry.
Baseball has low involvement outside of the pitcher / batter duel, and for that reason considered boring.
Competitive basketball requires an entire building just like Hockey. It is also seen as a cultural sport for a specific minority. I think it is growing internationally because the non-competitive aspect of it is cheap.

I understand that a lot of kids PLAY soccer but that doesn't mean they watch it on tv
