Antcliff's fund is to raise money for something that not many have dealt with. My grandma had it and it was annoying as hell to lose her before she died basically. People who have it early like Antcliff's mother are what he's trying to raise money to stop or to prevent it or cure it. He's taking a tough battle because most people won't donate to a cuase unless they are inspired by a disaster or see hurt puppies. The truth is a human life is more valuable then a puppy, but most people in our society are retards and think a cute puppy is everything. You can hit a dog with a car and it's impact is gone, it only brought joy to a family. A person dies and judging by the amount of people they have met or touched 500 to 1,000 people are effected. A dog barely even recognizes it's owner if another human with food pops up.

That said, some of the comments I've heard about her thing are the following (paraphrased):

"I'm not a dog person, but if it's good enough for you (Nicole), I'm in!"

"People can help themselves. Dogs can't. That's why it's more important to give to dogs."

"You're making the world a better place by helping these dogs!"

I'm sorry, but some those are just plan ignorant comments. Not saying there isn't a need for her dogs at all. Just saying it's frustrating that I work 40-50 hours a week for free trying to get this thing to take off, and she can put a page on the station site and mention it on air a few times and raise $100k.

And for the record, we have a lot going right now. It's just taking us a lot longer to make it happen. I'm proud as hell of what's been accomplished so far. I just wish it were more.

I think its silly to talk about ignorant comments while making one.

How is "you're making the world a better place by helping these dogs" ignorant? (I see nothing but opinion, and in my opinion its a damn good opinion)

Boasting about working for free while complaining about someone having success while working for free, it nothing more then jealousy.

Do you think someone is paying her to help these dogs out? Do you think that becuase she is a ****ing traffic girl that people are donating all this time and money?????

IT'S NOT, people love animals and they bring happiness to A LOT of people, so anytime they can help animals it makes people feel better about themselves.

Oh and the statement people can help themselves animals can not is 100% true like it or not. Those animals couldn't clean out that house and plan an elaborate escape from their terrible living conditions.

I don't care how anyone spends their charitable contibutions, (I do think everyone should help in some way either time or donations) but to hate on people for giving to charity because your charity is not a instant success is petty.

That being said, if you were more positive about what you are doing rather then being debbie downer about your struggles it makes it a lot easier for people to WANT to help you.

Coming in here to bish about the minimal donations you get, or posting a random thought about why people don't want to help others is not going to get you any support.

Where in there am I ripping anything?

I don't know what you do for a living, but if you work 40-50 hours a week to spin your wheels, and somebody else found a way to do your job more effectively in a fraction of the time, and you didn't have access to their way of doing things, you'd probably get frustrated, too.

    I didn't rip a thing

People can take care of themselves, so give money to dogs?

If people could take care of themselves, there wouldn't be a need for any charity of any kind. Some people can't take care of themselves, no matter how much they want to. If you started showing the signs of Alzheimer's today, what would you do? How long could you work and take care of your family? Who would pay your bills when you lost your ability to work? Who would help your significant other take care of you? Are they going to stay with you 24/7 and still find a way to pay your mortgage and car payments?

My dad would have LOVED to take care of himself when he was taking care of my mom, but he couldn't.

To make the statement that people can take care of themselves, so they don't need help, is just mind-numbing.

For the record, I spoke with Nicole this morning and told her I fully support her cause, and I hope she keeps doing great things.
    yep not ripping anything.

What I get from your posts, and maybe its just that you are not great at communicating your point but this is what I get.

Who gives a **** about animals, I am talking about my MOM here.

Which is great for you to do something to help your moms legacy however spitting in peoples (and potential donors faces) while doing so is not even close to the correct way to get it accomplished.

Can we get back to Nicole Salem and step away from this foolishness of battling charitable donations??

I Hope folks support all your causes that are worth while. I agree people are more important than pets but some folks feel that pets because of their helplessness need to be aided as well.

I have no problem with either idea, as long as folks are giving to a cause they believe in and not to impress an attractive woman that wouldn't give them the time of day.

She posted on my FB today bishing at me about alledgedly posting false information about how much money her charity had raised. I heard $100K, so I went with it, and she got pissy with me about it.

    I'm done with her.

I'm gonna put in some time on this SAF thing this week on my days off. Hopefully me and Kev can get some stuff rollin.
