Michael Hart or no Michael Hart? Arrington and Manningham are gonna need to come up big for the Wolverines. Michigan in a struggle.....Michigan 23 Illinois 20.
Michigan BB: Beating MSU AGAIN and AGAIN
I'm thinking if Hart plays it won't be much of a struggle. Yes they are tough against the run, but their secondary is about as good as the Lions.
Gameplan 1, w/ Hart- Illinois trying to stop the run, puts a saftey on run watch. Opens the deep middle pass for the speedy receivers.
Gameplan 2, w/out Hart- Illinois plays nickel and quarter zones all game and hope that the backup running backs don't run through the modified swiss cheese 6 or 7 in the box.
Either way Michigan wins. With Hart Michigan 34 Illinois 17. Without Hart Michigan 28 Illinois 24.
Illinois can't believe Illinois struggled with Iowa. Iowa looked horrible this season while Illinois looked solid. These games are getting harder and harder to predict. Mix that in with Illinois' quarterback controversy it makes it even harder.
I think Illinois will get their offense together. UM hasn't played a good team on the road yet this season so they are an unknown. Illinois has the weapons on the ground to attack UM. I'm assuming Hart plays, the thought of Hart not playing isn't pleasant. There is no backup who has been groomed to take over.
UM - 17
Illinois - 27
In Weeden We Trust
Michigan will find a way to get it done, U-M 31, Ill 20
This game smells of a trap game for UM. I'll stick with my pick (for now) in the wekly picks thread.
ILL 23
UM 22
