    I like this deal.

I think this is the first serious external move DD has made to address the bullpen, and it's not going to be his last.

De La Cruz looks decent so far, coming from within helps remedy the situation.

Curious to see where DD goes next for help.

I like Ledezma. I think he has all the tools to be a starter. That said I have learned to not question DD. There is a log jam and I am curious what he does next. Who would ever think you just might have too many arms

I like the move as well it makes room for Robertson, Durbin or Maroth if they dont trade him to be the long man along with Grilli. Ledezma was like a AAAA pitcher tore up the minors cant get it done as a starter in the bigs. It seemed liek every start he had with the Tig's he would be cruising along then walk 3 guys and give up a huge bomb

    McBride
    Assets
Uses a killer slider and low-90s heat to mow down left-handed hitters. He's good at getting out of jams with runners aboard.

    Flaws
Right-handed hitters pick him up far too well and his command can give him headaches.

    Career potential
    Steady left-handed reliever.

The trade makes sense for the simple fact that there are 4 Left Handed starters on this team better than Ledezma. I hope he goes on to have an excellent career in the National League!!

Boo to this trade. This is an absolute steal by the Braves. Ledezma's problem is working from the stretch, he pitches much better from the windup. I can understand packaging up Ledezma with Maroth and someone else to get someone who can do something for our team now but not to just "make room".

Bobby Cox used this kid in 72 games last year. He was pitching just fine this season until Monday when he gave up 4 runs in the 9th inning against Boston. Atlanta was up 9-2 when it happened. He only faced 1 lefty in the inning and got him out. All the hits were to righties, at least that I remember watching.

He's basically a lefty specialist. Ryan Howard is 0-12, 6Ks (something like that) against him in his career. Otherwise, for him righties are cryptonite.

    From Rotoworld.com.....

Tigers acquired LHP Macay McBride from the Braves for LHP Wilfredo Ledezma.

The Braves are moving McBride even though he had pitched quite a bit better since returning from the minors. He opened the year by walking 11 batters in three innings, getting him sent to Triple-A. Since being recalled last month, he had a 3.00 ERA and a 14/4 K/BB ratio in 12 innings. Lefties were hitting just .160 against him. The Tigers will use him in more of a specialist role, while Ledezma was typically utilized as a middle reliever. McBride is talented enough to be quite a bit of use if his continues to show decent command.

I think it will do wonders for the kid to have Kenny Rogers in his ear.....

His profile states he was a first round draft pick a couple years ago for what its worth.....
