Then they announced a 3rd date!
Spurs vs. Liverpool in Baltimore. I'm in. Now I just have to get tickets.
Baltimore has a couple of cool parts of town. Power Plant Live and the Inner Harbor have really good restaurants and night life. Spurs/Scousers should be fantastic!

Living in Tampa it sucks that the Glaziers have never brought United to town to play a friendly when they're on tour of the US since they have a sweetheart deal w/Raymond James Stadium. Tampa did get Bolton last Summer who came down for a friendly against FC Tampa Bay which is now the Tampa Bay Rowdies again.

    Good luck getting tickets!

Really fun day around Europe in the futbol world. Man City fell off the pace a bit as they drew Sunderland 3-3. Sunderland had a 3-1 lead w/about 15 minutes left and gave up back to back goals within a couple of minutes of each other. Chelsea gained points on Spurs for the 4th qualifying spot of the Champions League as they doubled up Villa 4-2 while Arsenal who are currently in 3rd lost to Premier League struggler QPR 2-1.

In Spain Madrid did the job on Osasuna that saw Ronaldo score 2 goals and set up a beauty to Benzema who has turned out to be a hell of a scorer for Madrid after having a rough go in his first season w/Los Galacticos. Barca kept pace by winning at home against Athletic Bilbao 2-0.

NBC Sports Network has Mexico/Canada in a Olympic Qualifier at 9p tonight and is following that up w/the Revs vs. the Galaxy in some MLS action. The SI's unofficial official MLS team the Portland Timbers host Real Salt Lake in a biggie that will not be televised nationally which is utter bollocks as I guess MLS has not got the memo that all Timbers Home Games are to be broadcast nationally because of the amazing atmosphere at Jeld-Wen Stadium.

The Quarterfinals of the Champions League was totally chalk. Madrid dismantled Hapoel, Munchen was better than their French counterparts, Chelsea did enough over two legs to Benifica, and Barca while they were held goalless in Milan they came home and won 3-2. The Semis pit Madrid/Munchen with the winner of that two legged tie facing the winner of Chelsea/Barcelona. The final is Munich.

In CONCACAF Champions League news Toronto FC are drawn even w/ Santos 1-1 in their second leg tie in Mexico right now inside the 33rd minute. As things stand now the teams are drawn 2-2 on aggeragate as Santos went up to Canada and got a 1-1 draw a few weeks ago. The winner of this tie faces the winner of Pumas/Monterrey both of Mexico that plays at 10p tonight. Both games are on Fox Soccer Channel. The winner of the tournament will play in the Club World Cup against other regions in the world's Champions in December in Japan. Barca won the Club World Cup last December.

The quarterfinals look great right now.

Real/Bayern is going to be awesome.
I think Chelsea can give Barca a scare too.

messi misses a PK today and Barca is eliminated by Big Blue for the CL final. WOW

I always liked the guy so this was a little bit of a feel good story. He has fallen on hard times since chelsea aquired him.

Chelsea substitute Fernando Torres sealed the win when he scored on a breakaway in the first minute of stoppage time.

"We knew this is how we had to play against Barcelona, even if sometimes it's not so attractive," said Torres, who replaced Drogba with 10 minutes left. "We used our strengths well, and it worked for us in both games. They had their chances, but they didn't finish and Ramires' goal gave us life."

    I agree about Torres.

He fets so much heat, but when i watch Chelsea there is no doubt that i would love to have Torres on my squad.

Since he hasn't been scoring, he has really stepped up his defense as well.

Wish he could go play for Spurs....

Torres has also improved his passing, he has setup Mata with some beautiful goals this season. In some ways he has almost morphine into a mid-fielder. I have always liked his play & wish him well. With my Liverpool he just was not a good fit with the system. The FA cup final will be interesting to say the least.

Great news for Spurs today when Arsenal couldn't get a result against the Norwich.

Let's get some wins boys and get into the Champions League!

I'm really hoping Man City comes back to win... not because I'm a Man City fan but because of the stupidity of the guy thrown out on QPR.

How City gets scored on by QPR down a man is something they will never forget if they don't get a result.
