Mike and Mike are talking about this column from this mornings DetNews.
Its pretty ballsy for anybody to even consider calling Aaron a coward let alone headlining your article with it.
Aaron doesnt owe anybody an explanation for his actions, but hey thats just my opinion

Hank Aaron is a coward. He's taking a stance but not saying what it is.
There's no other way to look at it. Aaron, the home run king, is playing a neutral role in the biggest sports debate since whether hits king Pete Rose deserved to be in the Hall of Fame.
It's clear Barry Bonds will supplant Aaron as the king of the long ball. Bonds is 18 home runs away from No. 756, one better than Aaron.
Still, Aaron says he will notbe there when he drops to No. 2.
Why? Who knows. Or more like, we allknow.
It comes down to accusations Bonds used steroids, even though the slugger hasn't been found guilty.

ARRRGGGHHH! This is exactly what Parker wants, to get national pub. I wish Mike and Mike wouldn't have even talked about this. I stopped reading his stuff a number of years ago.
Hank Aaron can do whatever the hell he wants.
Check back later
Rob Parker = Dispicable and disgraceful, I have never been more disgusted by one of your crappy articles.
They didnt give it much time, maybe 5 minutes at the most.
Just long enough to say how stupid it is to call hank aaron a coward regardless of if he's going to the park or not

I love how Parker thinks that, because he can't imagine any "other way to look at it," that there can't possibly be one. "Do what I want, or you're a coward!" How typically self-important.
IMO, Aaron has said all he needs to by announcing his intention not to be there when his record is broken. His not descending into the realm of the "he said this, and then he said that" back-and-forth in the media is perfectly understandable, as another thing that Parker seems not capable of understanding is that avoiding annoyances is not the same as cowardice.
Aaron has always been a man who has carried himself with class and dignity, without badmouthing anyone, and there is no reason for him to start now. He has earned the right not to have to answer the demands of two-bit outrage-mongers like Parker because of that class and dignity, more concepts with which Wobby is obviously unfamiliar.
This guy is no better than the playground pest that everyone here remembers from school. "Hey, everybody! Look at me! I'm an independent thinker! If you like something, I think it sucks! See how tough and smart I am?"
Pitiful.
R.I.P. Same Old Spartans.
Exactly,
Bonds hasnt come right out and said he cheated so why does Hank have to come right out and accuse Bonds cheated?
It is generally assumed Bonds was juicing, so you can generally assume Hank isnt going because of that.
If Bonds can stay quiet, so can Hank
Like Mike & Mike said: "Would Hank Aaron be there if Griffey Jr was breaking the record? Definitly"
