Its funny how you guys spread so much hate and you all don't even know Parker personally. Let the guy give his opinion. You give yours big deal. All the personal attacks are crazy to me. What if I call for you to lose your job because I don't agree with how you do your job?
To be fair only 1 person called for his job, to which nobody agreed with him
and for the most part the rest of us are incredulous at him calling Aaron a coward
The rest of his article could be spot on, nobody knows because witht he exception of a few (I read it all) since most people are focusing on the Coward comment and whether he should or shouldnt have used it

Done for you.
If I was Aaron, would I want to go to game after game with the same question over and over - 'do you think Bonds used?' I wouldn't thats for sure.
What showed Parker's true colours for me was this line:aka... It isn't fair to me and other hack reporters.....Well, he needs to take a stand -- either denounce Bonds' attempt because he's been implicated in the steroids scandal, or embrace Bonds' accomplishment and show up.
Playing middle of the road isn't fair -- to baseball, its fans or Bonds.
That just screams to me that Rob is whining for a story, and since he can't get the story he really wants to write, he's going to bash the guy who won't give it to him, Aaron.
I think Hank is doing the right thing. Very simply, he's doing the only thing he can do.
Can he come out and say Barry took roids without proof? No.
Can he go to the games and face the hundreds of reporters who will all ask the same thing 'do you think barry did it clean?' with the off chance that someone will misinterpret what he says because some writer wants some national pub?
Its going to be a media circus when Barry nears it, and it would be great fodder if Hank did come out and say something that would be repeated ad nauseum for every media outlet to hash and rehash for the rest of the season.
I believe Hank is following the old axiom - if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
Too bad Rob Parker is too dumb to follow that.

December 2008/September 2010.-Had alot of fun though.
I feel you. On second thought him calling Hank a coward is a personal attack so I guess he brought it on himself. In this case aside from calling for his job I can see how he desreves whatever backlash he gets. Funny thing is I met the dude several times and he was always pretty cool.
LOL - This is Rob, being Rob...
He was born and raised in New York - and fell in love with both Baseball and Sports Journalism there. These are facts that have to be considered.
We've been so used to reading "Soft" sports commentary over the years from guys - many of whom were raised in this area.
It's no coincidence that another controversial sports comumnist I grew up reading (Joe Falls) was also from the New York Area.
But it just seems like Rob and Drew - because they so often state facts, albeit negative ones - get pissed on.
But guess what?
Rob's been writing now, for about two decades. Somebody apparently likes what he's doing.
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
rob parker is an idiot, pure and simple. i disregard anything he has to say.
Oh he's got the RIGHT to do it, its a question of whether it right or wrong to do so......most people are going to lean on the wrong side of the scale
Just because he has the RIGHT to say Hank Aaron is a coward doesnt make it RIGHT to do so.....it certainly wasnt in good taste IMO
