I haven't been able to work out in about 10 days with this cold. Which I think I'm finally starting to beat. But I have been working this week, doing a lot of walking, etc. Since my doctor reset my medicine level I've lost 12 lbs, even not working out. I'm down to 315 which makes 16 lbs since Feb 28. I'm pretty happy about it, I just want this cold to go away so I can start lifting again. I've managed to stick to the low carb thing even with working, but I have had to up my calorie intake now that I'm doing more walking and moving around. 2000 isn't enough when I'm walking 6 or more miles a day, and that's just doing the easy stuff that we've been doing all week.

10 days off because of a cold????? Nothing is better when you have a cold than getting a good sweat IMO
Sounds good mtdman... speaking from experience, don't try a diet that you can't sustain for long (ie low carb). You can have whatever you want provided it's in moderation.
FWIW, I'm down 57lbs now. I had some lady at work stop me to say she didn't realize I was the same guy. She said she thought I had a fat brother who she hadn't seen around the office in a while.

I actually worked out on sat because I was feeling better and it wiped me out for all day Sunday. It wasn't much of a workout so I wasn't counting it. This cold is kicking my ass, i have no energy.
Congrats. I look forward to that. Getting down below 300 will be a big milestone for me. My wife has lost almost 20lbs since last October too.
My biggest problem with eating is going to be eating during work. I need to start bringing my own food, I haven't had the energy to get up early enough to make lunches this week though. Trying to find food that doesn't have a ton of carbs/bread is a real trick. The other day I bought some hotdogs at meijers without the bun and the dude gave me a weird look.

I cook most nights, and I always make sure I make enough food so that my wife and I have lunch the next day. It goes right in the glad-ware the night before. I keep certain non-perishables in my desk (i realize that's not an option for you) and I go out to lunch once a week. It's all about making decent choices and not screwing up more than 1 meal per day.
You also want to give your metabolism a shock every now and then. If you keep eating the same stuff it'll slow down. A greasy gutbomb every couple of weeks is okay.
I also start my day with a protein. Even if it's 2 or 3 slices of that 30 second microwavable sandwich bacon stuff.... it makes a difference. Starting the day with a bagel, toast, donut, et cetera is a recipe for ruin. I never seem to be able to fill up and crave sugars/carbs all day.

I have lost almost 50 lbs since November 19th. Suck it. From 227 to 179.
It is actually ****ty because most of my slacks look like I am wearing hammer pants.
Went out and got all new jeans, but most of my casual wear was from my skinny days, so it all fits perfect again, just glad polo and burberry stayed in style.
