    the finish on the screen of the plasma is shiney so it will reflect pretty good... i would try to keep it perpendicular to the windows. less chance for glare... if you put it parallel to the windows get blackout curtains and you'll be fine

    I don't really know enough to care about type.

    Size should probably be ~50 inches.

    Plasma would be my recommendation since they are usually cheaper and go well in a basement...3D? internet connected?

    ok, here's some to look at for a starting point...most plasmas have 3D...mine does...
