    The math is easy, it is getting the actual data to do the comparisons. There is no 1 clear answer, it depends on what you want to compare. The simplest way is comparing CPI...which would make $820 today, worth about $34.

    Inflation (which the gov't began tracking in 1914) has gone up 1,929% since then. $820 X 19.29 = $15,817.80.

    Does that look right?

    Yeah, I misread your first post and thought you wanted how much $820 of today's money would have been worth in 1912. Your math is right there.

    that's a good TV too...all i would recommend is that you buy the biggest you can afford...

    Ehh, room isn't that big from what I remember ... Definitely not big enough for a 50-inch.

    this is refurb...i'm 2 out of 3 for refurb purchases (big purchases)...if there's a problem with the TV, you could have a hassle shipping it back etc...

    eh, I think the 90day warranty is pretty ****ty.

    at least I think the TigerDirect refurbs have a year warranty, right?
