Has anyone ever used an IR REPEATER for their TV?
I've flushed mounted our tv on our wall and want to put our cable box in the room behind the wall, but need to extend the IR signal. Do the Comcast Motorola boxes have a direct plug-in for an extender?
Any links to an IR Repeater system that works well?

I have been trying to get some reviews on the new LED TV that Samsung has, but all I could find was a bunch of techno-geeks whining about comparisons to Panasonic's and what not. I know it's fairly new, so some solid reviews have been hard to find. What does anyone on here know about them?
FINALLY GETTING CLOSE!
Basement office almost done. Viewing area seems right for a tv no bigger than a 26". 32" could be pushing it. 22" seems like it's too small.
8 feet from a couch vantage point, 12 feet from behind my computer desk.
Do you think a 720 is sufficient? Costco has good deal on Sceptre and Vizio. I'm sure the Vizio is better ($100 more at $379). I think the Viz also broadcasts in 720 and 1080. What really sucks is I need that full articulating mount, too, which I think is around $90.
FWIW, currently have a 13" tube tv that seems okay. This tv will be the best one in the house (37" Sony Trinitron upstairs is 14 years old and refuses to die!)
Advice? Better costs out there? Sources for ordering? Stores?
Thanks in advance.

will you be hooking it up to your computer? or strictly 100% use as a TV only?
No, TV only. DVD player and U-verse. Oh, my son may play xbox. Is LCD in danger of burns from those, or is that plasmas?

lcd = no worries
The reason I was asking if you were going to use it as a Computer Monitor is that that's one of the biggest benefits of 1080P, the possible resolution matching with a computer....
so you can get a new Vizio 32" 720P at costco for 379? and if I understand it correctly, Costco gives a 2nd year of warranty for free.
that's a pretty good deal Joe
one of my coworkers got a Visio from Dell.com for right around that price a couple of weeks ago, right around the lowest i've seen them (in the 375-400 range).
for mounts, i've heard good things about monoprice (which is the best place for cables, no question) - i've just never personally gotten a mount from them, but i know someone that has and he has no issues with it.
No, that's the price for a 26". I think I need to go with the 26". I think a 32" may be too big. But the 720 is probably sufficient.
My question is are those brands like Insignia, Dynex and Sceptre just AWFUL, or once you have it in the house, is it look as good as anything else? Are they made by big companies, like Panasonic or Toshiba and just have that name slapped on them? $$$ is scarce of course. Hey, thanks for the mount advice. Appreciate it.

Insignia and Dynex are Best Buy's in-house brands.. I've reading things where people say Dynex are rebranded Toshiba's but there's not much confirmation no that.
Honestly man, if you shop around for it and are willing to wait until a "Deal" pops up you can get a better brand name most of the time for the same price...
ex:
Samsung 32" for $440 out the door:
Amazon.com: Samsung LN26B360 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV: Audio Video
(370+tax is 401) so the difference is down to $39
Alternative:
Fry's has this Toshiba that ends up around $410 shipped (no tax in MI)-
