Went to Dark Horse yesterday in Marshall. Cool atmosphere, kind of a lame tour but excellent beer and food.

doing the motor city brew tour this saturday. they're taking us to Great Baraboo Brewing Company in Clinton Township, Kuhnhenn Brewing in Warren and Dragonmead Brewery in Warren.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

I've tried a ton of pumpkin beers/ales this past month.

My two favorite are (in order)
    1) Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat
    2) O'Fallon's Pumpkin Ale

    I've tried:
    Leinenkugel Oktoberfest
    Ichabod
Magic Hat Oktoberfest also called Hex
Screamin Pumpkin Spiced Ale (didn't like it..too spicy)
    Sam Adams Oktoberfest obviously
HB Oktoberfest (very skunky. very gross)
    Pumpking
A lot others I can't remember off the top of my head.

Fultons Harvest Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur is very, very delicious. You must try.

This year I've tried the Ichabod Pumpkin, which I didn't think was very good... but last weekend I picked up the Arcadia Jaw-Jakin' Ale, which was AWESOME!

Look forward to picking up something tonight. Maybe i'll try the shock-top... hmmmm

Trying Founder's Red Rye P.A. tonight. Pretty decent. I think I like Bell's Hop Slam better, but this is pretty good.

I thought Ichabod and the Shock Top were mediocre at best. Michigan Brewing's pumpkin is still the best, IMO.

I had Magic Hats Hex (ourtoberfest) and thought it was pretty good..I also had dogfish head Punkin ale..It was decent, but I was disappointed because I had hoped for a better Punkin beer from them. I would drink again, but I dont think I would buy it again as there are plenty better imo..
