I tried the Founders Breakfast Stout last weekend, and wasn't super impressed. Im not sure what I was expecting, but it didn't blow me away. Especially for the $10.99/4pack pricetag. Not bad by any means... but not being a huge stout fan, I guess I can only compare it to other stouts, and saying that, it was good... just nothing spectacular.

And for GG... Try that Singapore IPA from Saugatauk Brewery... very good. Also, RACER 5 IPA is pretty solid. Just make sure you get the sediment from the bottom of the bottle, it makes it much much better.

yeah it is expensive. I think by me it is actually like 15 bucks for the 4 pack. I drink a lot of stout beers and IMO it is the most chocolate/coffee flavored one I have ever tried.

The one from Saugatuck was pretty subtle, but you could definitely taste it. I guess George Washington used to brew using spruce tips. I give a lot of the beer we make out to customers, so I figured it made sense to make some with the spruce. I'm really interested to try fir tips, they are more acidity with Concolor Fir needles having a similar smell to oranges. Figure try some in a batch a wheat beer.
