I agree with Tommy that Keewanaw has some good beers. The pick axe blonde ale is awesome
Also quickly moving up my list of favorite Michigan breweries is North peak in traverse city. The diabolical ipa is very good
Staring at my countdown clock and bulletin board material for motivation
My father-in-law does majority of the actual brewing right now, he's retired and I've got 3 kids under the age of 5, but it's my equipment and I help come up with recipes. I used to brew about 5-6 years ago and he decided to grow hops a couple of years ago, so I gave him the stuff and he's sort of gone crazy with it and now I'm getting back into it with him. I was just clearing a area in the yard this past weekend to grow my own hops actually.

Really? I don't see it at all. I am a big fan of JP, but will likely never buy North Peak again.
I might save 1, just for the hell of it. The story behind it was cool, too bad they got pressured into changing it.Quote Originally Posted by tommyz View Post

Everything I have had there so far has been fantastic..Ive had pulled pork, brisket, fried catfish, mac n cheese, collard greens (yummy), burnt ends..Their coleslaw is only ok though...have a great selection of Michigan craft beers...Also, their sauces are pretty good...
