It is even more disappointing because there are so many good IPAs available- just a letdown.

Agree. I quit drinking it after 4 and I was hell bent on drowning my sorrows.

I know you weren't asking me, but I was just there as well and I was actually more impressed with the distilling they are doing than the brewing. Other than Mad Hatter and Saison I'm really not a huge fan of their brews, but the rum they are making is excellent straight with some ice. Almost Bourbon like.

I did like the Saison and the IPA is really drinkable (low alcohol for an IPA). Beyond that, the Poet Oatmeal Stout is pretty good. The Charkoota Rye is crazy- tastes like bbq pork. I bought 3 bottles to experiment with for cooking.

It's Friday, I just completed the busiest 3 weeks of my life, and my wife is out of town. It is weekend's like this that I am glad Michigan is putting out the best beer in the world. I just poured a Founder's Double Trouble. Let the weekend begin.

Went to Shorts brewery in belaire last night. Very cool place. Sampled almost all of the twenty or so beers on tap.

Duh. That's where the Fresh Prince lives.
