So making racially and sexaully insensitive remarks is funny? Throw the Jew down the well!?! Oh well can't say I didn't give it a chance.

    He is jewish.

The funny part isn't his comments, its how people react to them.

Here's the article in which I was referring. Not a knock against anyone; whatever floats your boat is cool with me. I laugh hysterically at some things and my family just looks at me.

    Exactly

I know its a bit of a stretch, since we in America wouldn't ever laugh at a character that was racially and sexaully insensitive.

Seriously though, its obvioiusly not for everybody, but don't take it so seriously.

I thought that was the crux of good comedy...

I guess the saddest part is that people like the feminists in the clip and the hicks at the bar were stupid enough to think that he was an actual journalist or country singer from Kazakhstan. Again, to use the Steve Martin analogy, it's like believing that he was really a legit Slav. It's incomprehensible, but if that is the humor that you're deriving from it - the cluelessness of the general public - then I get that.

The saddest part is someone booked him to be a guest on a local news show (its in the movie).

    ------------------------------
TV news producer Dharma Arthur claims in Newsweek she lost her job as a result of her booking Borat on a local afternoon news program, because she did little more than cursory research on the guest she had booked. At the time of the appearance, she was unaware of Baron Cohen's act. During an interview with anchor Brad McMullan, Borat made sexual and scatological references, kissed McMullan, and later disrupted a live weather report.

"Because of him, my boss lost faith in my abilities and second-guessed everything I did thereafter.... I spiraled into depression, and before I could recover, I was released from my contract early. It took me three months to find another job, and now I'm thousands of dollars in debt and struggling to keep my house out of foreclosure.... How upsetting that a man who leaves so much harm in his path is lauded as a comedic genius."

    Yeah I wonder why

That sucks. Who's more wrong him for not dislosing his act or her as a journalist not checking the legitmacy of a guest?

    It doesn't have to be.

Pryor was funny in all aspects on all subjects. He did some racial stuff but most of the time it had a point or message. This guy's only schitck is his fish out-of-water-Non-PC thing. Borat and Ali G has he done anything funny where he isn't impersonating a person from another country?
