"We react to war in this way because everyone has a right to his own life, because war puts an end to human lives that are full of hope, because it brings individual men into humiliating situations, because it compels them against their will to murder other men, and because it destroys precious material objects which have been produced by labors of humanity". See that's exactly where it starts to become a pain in the arse. My main concern was that I wanted to be able to sync my entire library - not portions of my library, as that becomes a management issue. When I start to hit that limit, I'm going to purge some of the bs from my library - you gotta have some total bs in that library too, right?
On a related note, its a total pain in the ass to do the original sync of the entire library. For some reason, it would only sync a few thousand songs at a time. I don't know wtf was going on... so my nerd instincts kicked in, and I made an automatically updating smart playlist that was everything in the library, defined as any song longer than 0 seconds, then changed the settings to sync that playlist (in addition to my other playlists). That worked flawlessly.
The one criticism I have of it so far is that it would be awesome to be able to add something to an existing playlist right on the ipod. I'm in the process of building an epic playlist of awesomeness. However, I've created a workaround. If I'm listening to a jam that I think is playlist worthy, I'm ranking it as 3 stars, which will then signify in itunes that they need to be added to my playlist. The only rating I use otherwise is 5 stars - for completely and totally epic songs.
