I have heard both times are good for watering. Early in the morning 6-7. And then just as the sun is going down at night.

early is better.. at night can breed moss/ mold in the grass

actual air temps (not heat indicies) hit 105 today:

The National Weather Service says that by 5 p.m. Thursday, Ypsilanti's high temperature had reached 105 degrees. The weather service says the readings in Adrian and Hillsdale have hit 102 degrees, while 100-degree readings are reported at Ann Arbor, Coldwater, Marshall, Mason and Troy.

I saw 103 according to my weather.com app today in Ann Arbor.

It was hot as balls out there today.

Wicked storms just came through DC. Cooled it off ~20 degrees though

It really doesn't seem like going north a few hundred miles and getting near the water should cool it off 17 degrees. Friday night, when I left here it was 94, when I arrived up north it was 77. Left this afternoon it was 76 and it was 93 by the time we hit Flint.
