Met a guy today who wanted $125k more than he paid for a house he bought 3 years ago. 2200 sq ft, renovated and on the water with both a pool and a boat lift...

Probably wouldn't be an issue if his neighbors house which is 4800 sq ft, updated and has both a pool and lift didn't sell this year for $25k less than he's asking.

I thought he was just using a high starting point as leveraging in a negotiation... Nope. Realtor told me he is telling them to only bring buyers by with $100k cash to put down since bank appraisals keeping killing deals.

Which is a clear indication he's over priced. Hope he enjoys staying for a while.

He can't be serious about selling, must just be seeing if anyone would be willing to overpay for a house.

Guy's house poor and desperate to sell... But refuses to short sell the house (according to the realtor). I don't know how he managed to be so upside down in the first place when he just bought it a couple years ago for 100k less though. Doesn't make sense...


Tracking listings though... He has put the house on the market for 4 months at a time and then pulling it for a couple months like clock work for the past year.
