Office went with a "late open" policy today.

Offices not open till noon, now there are very few here (since they already got a free 1/2 day), and I have not much to do for the next 4 hours.

    I hope SI is rockin...

I think my boss is full of **** with what he told me yesterday. Said some **** about how I get like $27 per day for meals while I'm down in Indy next week. That don't sound right at all to me. Unless you eat McDonalds 3 meals a day, how the hell can you eat 3 meals off $27 a day?
That's garbage, you know what is worse? 50 dollars a day per diem in MANHATTAN!! You only could afford go to out to eat once. It was Mickey D's for breakfast, a snack for lunch and a dinner at a decent place.

Right in Midtown and having to toss in extra for dinner or go skimpy for a few days to go to a cool place to eat before you leave.

I agree they really skimp on per diem in some spots.

As Gekko posted $27 a day really is not that bad, most work places are not going to pay yuo to have high end meals, but they give you enough to eat applebees and olive garden

    Free pizza ftw.

It's weird having only like 20% of the people around here.

I have no idea if the hotel has a breakfast deal or not. Its the Raddisson by the airport in Indy. And, apparently, by the info SFA2 gave me the other night, its all under renovation right now.

I've got a feeling this is gonna be a total cluster**** down there next week.

If it is indeed $27 a day, which sucks, there's a Waffle House 1.5 miles from the hotel I can eat at. I love Waffle House, and it's not expensive.

Again not that any other opinion really matters to you, $27 is not bad its par for the course

I am sorry you got yourself hyped up looking at high end restaurants, but a place like good year is not going to pay you to eat at those places

He could still go. He could get a meal at one of those places for like 10-15 bucks after his Per Diem.

I was merely looking at decent places to eat down there. I'll be just fine.

How much does the church pay when you go on trips for whatever a preacher may go on a "business" trip for? Do you just ask for a bit extra in the collection plate at the sunday service before you leave on a trip?

I was just told (has not been officially announced though) that even though my office did not open till noon, employees that decided to not come in for the second half of the day, will have to use a full vacation day, and not a half for today.

Not sure if it's true yet, but I'm glad I came in.
