By float I meant maybe you were "floating" a check out there that you didn't consider when you thought you had 225 in your checking account...that was just my guess...outstanding checks > cash balance.

Here's the thing, the check goes through and there is 25.00 in my account k? But it still overdrafted??? According to the check, it's because I deposited the money via the atm even though it has been there for a week and the check went through 7 days later... It's still an overdraft cause it needs 5 business days???

Never deposit by ATM would be my only comment really...especially if you are that tight on your checking account. The rules suck I agree...I'd join a credit union.

it was a credit union lol. I moved the money from savings to checking because I violated the number of electronic transfers allowed a month once 2 years ago and they disabled my online transfers caue of the patriot act.

ha, I thought credit unions were less chippy about those rules. My bad. Maybe just keep your money under your mattress then.
