They? who is they? Does the station even understand their demographic? Whatever they think they'll gain with a new demographic is allienating far more of the demographic they should be catering too. I listen to 1130 on my way back into Michigan, and even when I get the signal again I keep it on 1130 because WTF is this **** they are trotting out there in the mornings?

Drive time is where the money is at, does this radio station hate making money ?

I don't necessarily have the numbers so correct me if I'm wrong but is the ticket really struggling to make money? I mean most people on here don't like the format or the personalities but does that speak for the vast majority? Outside of this board I don't usually here too many people complain about the station. Aside from a few hot button/rivalry topics which stir the pot a little.

I don't know their financials, nor do I care. I'm a consumer of their radio not their CPA.
But I assume they are the #1 dog by and far. I gather their morning show decisions and the split of stoney and wojo is an overreach when they can put the hammer down on all competition. I suppose they don't see any real competitor and their hubris is why I must suffer the morning show.
I speak for myself when I say I rather listen to something else during the am drivetime than what they offer. And they have competition their, but not so great as to compete with a stoney/wojo pairing, which personified Detroit Sports talk in my opinion.

Until I discovered Mike and Terry of course ^_^

I bet drew and mike still have a solid following, along with 955 for chicks and teeny boppers.. not sure what 89x ratings or 963 looks like, but i would be surprised if 971 was better than 3rd in AM drive??

yeah, and i bet they are still pulling down pretty solid ratings. i usually listen to 89x, them or DFN. i really cant stand the 971 morning show

the same stuff they always have. the day before's tv stuff, current events, sports, etc..
