Since there is a chance he may retire at the end of this year, and the only team he was with long enough in his entire career to have his number retired would be here. Do you support the concept of retiring Ben Wallace Number?
I think there is absolutely no reason not to, he won 3 Defensive Player of the year awards. He also was part of a championship team.

the dude was in Detroit for how long, six years? I don't think you can justify retiring a players number when he was exposed when he left your team for bigger money. Yes, he won DPOY 3x, but he benefited from the players around him. They made Ben look good.

Under no circumstances. Of the guys who brought home the ring in 2004 the best case can be made for Chauncey. Ben Wallace isn't even close given they way he left town.
I think they should retire his number twice.

They have not been even close as a defensive unit since Ben left. It was
most certainly the other way around
That said, no way he gets his number retired IMO. The Pistons have set a precedent retiring Vinnie's though so anything is posiblllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeee!!!!
maybe everyone made everyone look better? Cuz Ben hasn't looked nearly as good in Chicago/Cleveland since he bolted and Detroit hasn't looked good either.
If Ben made Detroit look good then he should have done the same in Chi/Clev no problem, and that just never happened.
