    Don't stay at Greektown.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.

I've never stayed at a Hotel downtown.. but the idea of staying at the Book Cadillac interests me the most..

My wife had a friend tell her how much fun they had at greektown... Sadly I doubt I will be able to change her mind now. Her real friend will trump my internet dork friends as she says

I stayed at the Greektown Casino once. To much for what you get. Wasn't impressed with it. Haven't stayed at the others, that was about 1.5 years ago stayed there. Thought for 200 a night it should have been more, I travel and have stayed at nicer places for less money. Not worth it in my opinion.

The Book Cadillac is literally right across the street from both of the Coney Islands.

August 21'st being a Tuesday will help you. Rates should be reasonable at most places. Use Hotwire.

She booked greektown for $110.... Once her friend stepped in that was end of it . She knew I wanted to spend some time playing cards and we wanted to be able to walk to the field so greektown makes sense

A bit late...but Book Cadillac often runs specials if you're going to a ballgame too. Stayed there a couple weekends ago, nice rooms for sure.

I've been to both the Book and Greektown. To me, if you're going for a game and some nightlife fun, I didn't have an issue with Greektown. It's just a hotel...you sleep there. If you were just going down for a night out, that may be different, but greektown will also have the most "baseball" pedestrian traffic.

Sounds like a few other couples are getting tickets and rooms along with us so it should be a good time. Watch the tigers pound the blue jays then try and break greektown
