2012 Summer Beer Festival

Its that time again..July 27th from 5-9 and July 28th 1-6...The 28th is already sold out..Tickets only remain for Friday..Tickets are 30 bucks in advance or 35 at the door..Recommend buying them in advance or else it will sell out. For a list of some of the beers go to this site

I will be there Friday with my dad and father-in-law. Tickets were a father's day present to us all.

Anyone have any under the radar beers to check out? Here are a couple I had last year, Saugatuck Brewing Co. Spruce Tip Ale. Subtle spruce flavor. Blue Tractor's Smoked Red Ale with a subtle smokey flavor. Would be really good with some pulled pork. Still want to get there for dinner sometime. Bravo! Summer Daze IPA. Also their Pale Ale was really good. Spent a lot of time talking with these guys last year. We all know about what the big boys have to offer, but anything else where the lines will be short and worth a stop?

By the way, Dark Horse has a RIDONCULOUS amount of beers...Plead the 5th Bourbon Barreled Stout is a must Have..The Livery has ALL Borubon Barreled Beers there, which is amazing!

Im going to try out of the way different beers this time..Kuhnhenns has a few I really want to try.

nice! Did you see the Beer list? Also, one thing I learned is make yourself a pretzel necklace..I know, sounds stupid..But its a great way to clean the palate to get a good taste of each beer.
