Teams under cap get first chance to bid on amnestied players. Bobcats, Hornets, Rockets, Cavs, Mavs, Suns, Blazers among those w/room.

i wish the pistons would amnesty Charlie V

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

They really wouldn't gain anything from doing so. It wouldn't clear enough cap space to do anything. He still would get his money so it wouldn't hurt him either. You guys just wouldn't have to watch him play.

They have to do it by the start of next year. 11M comes off already and if you add Charlie's 8.5 you could add something important to what is hopefully an emerging core.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.

Goodwill says no one uses the amnesty clause.

Next year he would be an expiring contract and may have enough value to be traded.

They should have plenty of money free with only 28M committed as of right now. Max, Rip, Bynum are all expiring along with Magette.

    Unless this is wrong.

He has one year plus a player option that he will most certainly pick up. I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't already let Joe know that he will pick that up.
