IMO this will expand eventually to 8 then 12 finally 16. Sounds like top 4 with a preference to Conference Champs. Semi will be at alternate bowl sites with the the National Title game being bid to the highest bidder. Wish the Semi was at college campus but understand why it isn't.

The way I believe it is that the semis are jan 1 and title game a week later........ No way its just conference champs.... Sec would never allow that

If it isn't all conference champs, I will not watch because it is a farce like the BCS. So they will get nothing from me unless they straighten their act up. More bull.

Eliminate a few of the worthless non-conference games to make room for the playoffs. A 4 team playoff is better than the BCS but it's still a freaking cop out and for no good reason.

Anything short of a true playoff, like they do at levels below the BCS level is a farce. Just more ways to line the pockets of the assclowns who run the BCS.

this but 16 teams. Require teams to play balanced home and away schedules.

Boise State or the smaller schools will be left out of the 4 teams. Guaranteed there will be controversy when it happens
