To be fair to Berry, it's not like Young or Boesch come close to that ball. At least he got it in his glove for a moment... ("at least" seems to be be the Tigers calling card this year on defense)

I missed almost all of the game, was Verlander really **** tonight? I see that he only got 3 Ks.

JV wasn't that bad - just had location issues toward the end. Most of what the Cardinals put in play wasn't hit hard and thankfully they were a bit impatient until the 7th.

Berry isn't a good fielder, he's just very fast. I think Dirks, Kelly, and even Raburn make that play. Probably not Elmn or Besch though.

Nice win. Need to stay on this roll.

I cant beleive the Cubbys just took the first 2 games from the Sox. Kind of tells me a little something about the white sox.
It makes no sense being pessimistic, it wouldn’t help anyway!

after interleague, their next two series are against texas and TB.. they win those series, they have my attention, but they have played 3 of the worst NL teams (pitt, col, chc) and another one that isnt very good (stl) and are about to play pitt again. Their only impressive series win was against cincy. I'm not ready to crown them kings of the world or "back" yet.

That was an emotional reaction. He wasn't that great though, by his standards anyway, and he was walking too many guys. That seems to happen more often when he is trying to pitch to contact instead of burying guys.
