Not that I care about horse racing, but I can across this and thought I would share.
Think this takes a little buzz away from the race???
Not worth risking the future stud money. Advertisers will not be happy when the ratings fall through the floor
So you can't see the injury but you know something's just not right?
It's tendatis from overworking the horse which his trainers have been accuse of it in the past. It takes about a week to 2 weeks to heal and need to massage and wrapped must stay in the stall. He can still race if the owner wants but maybe it's best to retire him and his stud service could run up to a million bucks
I was talking about this with my boss today. He owns 2 horses, and his daughters both ride equestrian. One still in high school locally here, and the other rides at the U. of Kentucky for their team.
He said the injury could have happened when the horse was transported. Also said, that if he'd have ran and won the triple crown, stud services from that horse could fetch up to $3 mil per service. Crazy money in that stuff.
Sounds fishy . . . house racing is so dirty. I never felt that Horse racing was more dirty than in 2008 when Big Brown lost the Belmont . . . I still believe that race was fixed.
Explain the fix. I don't get it.

F the Belmont, IHA is done... retired.
I agree. I think there is something strange about this.
Is it possible that IHA is really injured? Absolutely. Is it possible that there is something fishy going on? Absolutely. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not.
Just seems strange for this to come up the day before the race.
