Classic Sabathia outing today. Gives up a few runs, doesn't dominate by any stretch, but ends up going 7 innings and getting a win. Too bad the Tigers had to toss a rookie who isn't ready out there tonight.

Also, there's a story in the News suggesting that the next call up might be Matt Young, a 29-year-old outfielder who is hitting .260/.430/.356 so far this year, with 45 walks, 32 strikeouts, and 12 steals in 49 games. Someone would have to be removed from the 40-man roster, or placed on the 60-Day DL though, and the News suggests it might be Don Kelly.

Considering Leyland's love affair w/ Kelly, I'd be absolutely stunned if he were the casualty.
    Check back later

Matt Young sounds like a gem. Can't wait for his arrival.

How many fukcing guys like that do we have in the minors? It's rediculous.

He'd be the third minor-league free agent they signed in the offseason to come up this year, joining Eldred and Berry. Unfortunately their outfield talent is still in the low minors.
