insane. My uncle went from traveling with a personal protection unit to not going there at all when down there on business.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

I have only been to Mexico once and that was for Spring Break in Cancun. It was great but I have zero interest in returning anytime soon. Even in any "tourist" areas.

I have a coworker who goes there twice a year. She swears it's safer there than here.....whatever. If you ask her about it, she'll give you an entire PSA on anything you want to know about Mexico. She can't believe how cheap it is to travel there. She doesn't realize that it's cheap for a reason.

I have an old high school friend getting married in Mexico this month. I told him he was an idiot... He didn't understand why... Cementing my opinion.

I used to travel to Saltillo back in 2000 and 2001...i felt safe driving my own car from Monterey to Saltillo and to and from work... now if I still did that, I wouldn't be going there... scares the crap outta me

even the tourist areas are getting dangerous. I'm very surprised the US hasnt put Mexico on the no travel list yet.

The Silao area is pretty safe. I go down there a couple of times a year. I don't drive myself around though.

I wonder how many folks have been killed in the United States the last six years associated with our drug violence? If it wasn't for illegal drugs our society would be better and our communities would be safer.

Violence abounds on both sides of the border . .
