And I have to sit and watch porky pitch tomorrow. We have tickets and I'd love to skip the game but my son is too pumped for us to pass it up now

I'm sure flying all over the country and playing everyday has to wear you down at some point. It's not an excuse just something that hey have to deal with better

Blaming it on leadership is just what fans and media members do when we need a narrative to explain things we don't understand.

    1 - "Our guys can't hit!"
2 - "Must be because there are no leaders on the team to hold them accountable!"

1- "Our pitchers are hurt and ineffective!"
2 - "Must be all the beer, and chicken, and video games!"

I have no ****ing idea why the Tigers are playing as poorly as they are. They are much more talented than their record indicates, and their lineup should be murder for any pitcher to deal with. If a good kick in the ass were the answer, I'm sure Leyland would have tried that a month ago.
Last year the Tigers said Martinez was huge in that respect and I agree it can be overblown but Martinez is gone now this team looks totally different.

I agree. leadership is a bull**** excuse.. Having a rah rah guy in the clubhouse doesnt make fielder hit doubles and bombs instead of singles (just one example). this team flat out sucks right now

Why do they suck? It's a lot of the same players. Why aren't the players performing? It's not like the players are all old guys at the end of the line. These are young guys who shouldn't be sucking.

Not wasting any more time on this one today. I'll check the box score when it's over.

I love how our relievers immediately clear the bases.
